I hope you enjoyed Staci's post (part 1) yesterday and will come back tomorrow for part two.
It may seem like a funny thing to host a guest post about someone's book and their journey as an author on a blog dedicated to Christian service but it's really not. It's about supporting others on their journey and recognizing that God calls us into all kinds of service.
Our job is not to make others fit into the perfect mold we've created in our minds. God certainly does not operate inside a little box.
God made the box!
He's also more creative than we could ever hope to be! Don't believe it? Just watch a documentary about the oceans and all the amazing creatures found miles below the surface. God created those beautiful creatures with skill and imagination and a playfulness that we don't often recognize. He knew it would be ages before anyone would know they were there, or care, much less have a way to get down there to see them.
So why go to the trouble?
Because when God does something He does it with greatness and with excellence and out of the sheer joy of creating something beautiful.
Nothing we ever do with match the splendor of His creation but He promises to place us with purpose, put a dream in our hearts, and bless it for His glory.
What has God called you to do? Write, teach, raise children, heal, make cars, sell clothes...what is your place of service?
Whatever it is, your story is welcome on this blog. We are called to support one another and spur one another on to good deeds.
So, come back tomorrow to hear more of Staci's story of her journey. I'd love to hear your story as well. Would you like to share it? Email Sherri Stone with your story. It's a great way to encourage one another.
I am praying for you.
