Tomorrow is August 1!
5 months left in 2012!
What kind of year has this been for you?
- Productive?
- Chaotic?
- Stressful?
- Disappointing?
- Don't ask?
Okay...whether it's been good or not so good one thing is true for all of us: the first 7 months are over.
We can't relive them.
We can't change them.
We CAN learn from them, be inspired by them, and let them fuel our focus for the next 5 months.
FOCUS
What do you need/want to accomplish in the next five months? If you don't have a goal you will run in circles, waste time and energy and have little or nothing to show for your efforts.
MAKE A LIST - BABY STEPS
What needs to be on your "TO-DO" list?
More importantly, what needs to be on your "NOT-TO-DO" list?
Whether it's a writing goal, a weight loss goal (isn't it always?), or some other end you seek:
- focus on it - write it down and put in on your refrigerator
- look at it every day
- set small, attainable goals for yourself
- identify time and energy killers - name them - write them down so they are identifiable and clear
- check your progress regularly - at least once a week
- regroup as needed
First and foremost, don't leave God out of the planning. While your personal agenda may be a good one, it may not look anything like what God has in store for you. Make your lists (to-do and not-to-do) a matter of daily prayer.
"In all your ways acknowledge Him and
He will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3: 6
Commit to ending 2012 well. Run the good race, stay focused and determined, and trust God to bless you and your efforts.
In His Grip,
Sherri
